Government policy encourages the provision of an integrated service between housing, social services and health. The Government supports strategies to enable more people to be supported in the community and living independently for longer.
New Progress works closely with local authorities in delivering services that offer long-term, sustainable support, enabling the elderly, the infirmed and vulnerable people to live in their own homes.

Telecare Smart System – Alarm & Response

The New Progress Telecare service provides help to elderly, disabled and vulnerable people people, at the touch of a button. This service operates 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year, responding to domestic or medical emergencies. The Telecare smart system is available the New Progress’ Lifeline customers, using advanced sensor technology to manage the risks of elderly and disabled people in their home environment.

Safe & Independent – In Your Own Home

Telecare uses a range of wireless sensors located around the home. These safety sensors are designed to help older, disabled and vulnerable people to live safely, securely and independently in their homes.
In the event of a problem or a threat to your safety, the safety sensors activate an alarm via your telephone line. A Control Centre monitors your alarm 24 hours a day. When the alarm is triggered, an operator will talk to you over a speaker unit until help arrives.

The Telecare service enables you to maintain your independence whilst giving family and carers the reassurance that help is on hand should you need it.

Telecare – Smart Home Demonstration

The New Progress Control Centre in Leyland handles over 154,000 calls annually for Telecare, Helpline and Lifeline. They are now the lead provider for Telecare in Central Lancashire.
